Why Consultancy?
Some placements need more than a search tool. Complex needs, tight timescales, or a young person who’s had multiple moves already — these situations need someone who knows the provider landscape and can move quickly on your behalf.
Our consultancy strand launched publicly at the first bPlaced Provider Morning in July 2026, and sits alongside the platform as a direct extension of it — same network, same standards, more hands-on support where it’s needed.
Who It’s For
For Local Authorities: a faster route to a shortlist of suitable, vetted homes when a placement is complex or time-critical, without adding a new system to learn.
For Providers: relevant referrals for young people who genuinely match your service, coordinated directly by our team rather than a blanket send-out.
How It Works
Step 1 — Referral
You share the young person’s anonymised needs, care pathway, and any specific requirements — the same simple, secure intake as our platform referrals.
Step 2 — We Search and Coordinate
We work our network of vetted, Ofsted-registered providers directly — checking live availability, suitability, and capability — and coordinate conversations on your behalf rather than leaving it to inbox back-and-forth.
Step 3 — Placement Secured
We support the process through to a confirmed placement, keeping both sides informed and reducing the administrative load on your team.
What It Costs
Our consultancy service operates on a success fee basis, charged only once a placement is confirmed — for both Local Authorities and providers. There’s no procurement process for a one-off engagement, and no cost if a placement doesn’t proceed.
